Marie Curie required our design and development services to assist in their annual Great Daffodil Appeal and promotional activities around this.
A combination of viral marketing through facebook, and playful and interactive map, and a signup process encouraged people to take part of the appeal to raise money for the charity fund.

Facebook is a great platform for this and certainly aids in this process. And using fun and friendly design and the latest interactive techniques we implemented a great user interface which was very well received.
Users were driven from Facebook adverts asking them to ‘Give an Hour’. In 2 months over 4,750 people volunteered their time through the app bringing in an estimated revenue of £475,000.
A secondary app allowed daffodils to be added to Facebook profile pictures. Over 130,000 daffodils were added to profile pictures and 9,200 stories posted, which in turn drove drove over 45,000 new likes to the Marie Curie Facebook page. Overall, Facebook activity during the Great Daffodil Appeal grew our ‘Like’ fan base from 42,000 to 275,000.
